Many hiking trails are close by in Pike National Forest and the Mt. Evans Wilderness Area. Lost Creek Wilderness Area is located between Bailey and Fairplay. Named after a creek that repeatedly disappears and reappears underground an in nearby rock piles. 130 miles of secluded trails available for hikers and fishermen.
Mount Bailey is a short but steep hike that starts at the top of Crow Hill. Trailhead is near Weakland Fawkes Park.
Directions: From Bailey on Hwy 285 take exit for CO RD 72, just south of the Loaf n Jug. Go left under highway and follow to Burland Dr. Turn left on Burland drive and go for about a mile. You’ll see Weakland Fawkes park on your right.
